The interior does fit my very high arch, my high instep, and my slightly wide feet perfectly. I found the shoes do run true to size, and when fitted with it was told it should have about an inch gap at the heel when my toe is fully forward. The other thing I noticed is that this Dansko shoe is NOT the same fit as the Professional line. So if you are used to the hard fit of the typical CLOG offered by Dansko, just be aware that this one fits more like a standard shoe and is more pliable when you walk. I personally prefer that feel then the flip-flop walking feel of the Pro line. The leather is great quality, and the high sole of the shoe makes it great for avoiding large puddles. I have tried on some of the "girlier" Dansko styles in size 42 and they have been too small, so I was delighted to see that the Stacie is made in 43. However, the 43 is too big for me, and the 42 fits. I wish I could wear them. Most of my shoes are Danskos because they offer the support that I need when standing all day long. I have many different styles and find that I can easily purchase them online since my size stays consistent among all their shoes. However, this shoe does not fit well. The "Stacie" is too narrow/low volume for my wide/high volume foot. The top of the shoe covers more of my foot than the normal Dansko Clog. It is simply too tight and too stiff through the middle of my foot. I have worn them a couple time for about 1 hour, and each time they have caused so much pain in my feet that I couldn't put them on again the next day. I will have to send them back. If Dansko could make the same shoe with more flexibility through the middle of the foot, I would buy it in a second. (They might be an okay fit if you have narrow feet). |
